Debra Messing Discusses Benefits of CoolSculpting

Debra Messing is arguably the most well-known ambassador for CoolSculpting. She has been very forthcoming with her positive experience with the fat-freezing technology, a specialty of Spectrum Dermatology. Increasingly, celebrities are blazing trails when it comes to de-stigmatizing aesthetic procedures, particularly when it comes to wide-spread issues such as targeting fat loss through safe body contouring.

When Good Housekeeping asked Messing about her CoolSculpting experience, she said, “Whether or not someone else wants to judge me because I want to go into a dermatologist’s office for an hour and have fat frozen off of my body and three months later I can feel a little better in a bathing suit, I don’t care. I don’t care about that judgment.” Many are following in Messing’s footsteps, including an increasing number of men seeking out the procedure.

CoolSculpting is Safe

Debra Messing is arguably the most well-known ambassador for CoolSculpting. She has been very forthcoming with her positive experience with the fat-freezing technology, a specialty of Spectrum Dermatology. Increasingly, celebrities are blazing trails when it comes to de-stigmatizing aesthetic procedures, particularly when it comes to wide-spread issues such as targeting fat loss through safe body contouring.

It is not only the changing view of cosmetic procedures that has allowed people like Messing to speak openly about opting for CoolSculpting. There is also the fact that CoolSculpting is relatively safe, particularly when compared to surgical and invasive procedures like liposuction. A patient no longer has to risk the many side effects of surgery with CoolSculpting, as it features no downtime and minimal risks (aside from bruising in some cases).

CoolSculpting is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and was designed not as a “fat loss” tool, but rather a means of contouring the body by targeting areas in which to freeze fat. This fat is then dissolved and eliminated safely through the body over several weeks. It is especially targeted towards trouble areas that resist diet and exercise, such as the stomach, inner thighs, and upper arms. CoolSculpting’s technical term is “cryolipolysis,” and although it is now a household name, it has been available for many years.

Messing agreed to be the CoolSculpting ambassador after just one treatment. She has been especially outspoken about her happiness with the results following a belly treatment. “I gave birth,” she explained. “I had a little pouch on my stomach that wouldn’t go away. We have hormones, things happen. Things move. And I’m lazy!” she added. “I don’t want to do sit-ups for four hours a day. I’m a new single mom and I work full-time.” Of course, Messing like all moms are far from lazy, but CoolSculpting can certainly be an effective and fast way to address stubborn fat areas.
